About MV Restaurants
A free guide to every restaurant, cafe, takeout counter and seafood shack on Martha's Vineyard: 171 places across the island's six towns. We do not rate or rank anyone. Each page says where the place is, what it serves, what it costs, when it is open and when we last checked.
Who runs it
MV Restaurants is run by David, who also owns and writes mvvacation.com, a guide to visiting the island, and mvboats.com. The three sites are one small family.
The photographs in the guide were taken by us unless a caption says otherwise, and every restaurant can ask for a photo of its room to be taken down at any time.
How we check hours and seasons
We check each restaurant's own website, social posts and posted signs, and date every change. We do not guess and we do not copy from other directories.
- Every restaurant page shows Hours confirmed with the date we last read them at the source, and a link to that source where there is one.
- Between October 15 and May 15, a place whose hours we have not confirmed in the last three weeks reads call ahead and is never shown as open now.
- A seasonal place is shown as open only inside the season dates its own site or sign has given. If it has posted "closed for the season", its page says so, and names the reopening only if the restaurant has announced one.
- Everything is computed in island time, so "open now" means open on the Vineyard, not where you are reading from.
- The Open this week, Open year-round and 2026 closing dates pages are rebuilt from the same data and carry the date they were checked.
How it is paid for
Being listed is free, and always will be. The list, the order it is in, search results and the map are never for sale. No restaurant pays for its place in our lists or for what we write about it.
- A restaurant can buy a verified profile, from $150 a season: photos it supplies, a link to its menu, owner-confirmed hours, and a small "Verified by the restaurant" badge. It does not move the restaurant up any list.
- A restaurant can buy a clearly labeled sponsored spot, shown outside the lists and marked "Sponsored" wherever it appears.
- There are no ads, no affiliate links and no pop-ups on the guide.

Corrections
Hours and prices change. If something here is out of date, tell us and we will check it at the source and fix it, with the date. Restaurant owners can confirm or correct their own page the same way.
The guide is for reference only. The restaurant is always the last word, so please confirm before you go. The Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy say the rest.
