Edgartown restaurants

Checked October 7, 2026. Updated with every build of the site.

Edgartown sits on the island's eastern corner, where the harbor opens toward Chappaquiddick. It is the county seat of Dukes County and the island's oldest town, and the white captains' houses along North Water Street date from its whaling years. Most of its restaurants are within a few blocks of Main Street and the waterfront, with a second cluster out at Katama near South Beach. Chappaquiddick is part of Edgartown and is reached by the short Chappy ferry from Memorial Wharf.

The guide lists 56 places in Edgartown: 21 that say they stay open year-round and 35 that close for part of the year. Summer is the busy season, when reservations help at the sit-down places and the harbor-side decks fill before sunset. In winter, the year-round list below is the one to use, and a call ahead is still wise, since many places trim their days after the holidays.

Open year-round 21

These places say they stay open through the winter. Days and hours shrink in the off-season, so the confirmed date on each page is the one to trust.

Seasonal 35

These close for part of the year. Where a restaurant has announced its last day or its reopening, its page says so. Announced dates are also on the 2026 closing dates page.
