About The Outermost Inn Restaurant
On ~50 acres at the westernmost point of the island, just below the Gay Head Lighthouse. Owners Hugh Taylor (former rock musician, brother of James Taylor) and Jeanne Taylor with daughter Alex, since 1989. Three-course prix fixe (~$90–110), menu changes daily. Hyper-seasonal approach: local farms, Menemsha fish, game, seasonal vegetables. Magnificent views of Vineyard Sound, Elizabeth Islands, and Noman's Land. 'Filmic Nights' — outdoor movie nights in the field (since 2024, with Sam Adams).
