About The Outermost Inn Restaurant
On about 50 acres at the westernmost point of the island, just below the Gay Head Lighthouse, run since 1989 by Hugh Taylor (a former rock musician and brother of James Taylor) and Jeanne Taylor with their daughter Alex. A three-course prix fixe, about $90–110, with a menu that changes daily around local farms, Menemsha fish, game and seasonal vegetables. Views of Vineyard Sound, the Elizabeth Islands and Noman's Land. Since 2024 it has run 'Filmic Nights', outdoor movies in the field with Sam Adams, and it has won Cape Cod Life Best of 2025 and Most Romantic Restaurant MV.
