About Menemsha Fish Market
Stanley Larsen, Betsy's cousin, and his wife Lanette bought it in 2004 from Poole's Fish Market, which had been on the site since 1946. Their line is 'whole fish and nothing but the fish.' It is open year-round, one of only two winter businesses in Menemsha along with the Texaco, with winter hours Fri–Sat 11 AM–5 PM and Sun 12–4 PM. The menu runs to seafood chimichangas, lobster quesadillas and seafood nachos, and the 'Sunset' Lobster Combo is the one to order for sunset. Stanley farms his own blue mussels, they ship lobsters and fish nationwide, and the chowder won Best Clam Chowder MV in 2022.
