About Menemsha Galley
Open since 1950, more than 75 years, founded by Frank Fenner and owned by Tony Saccoccia and Jack O'Malley since 2018. You order at the walk-up window and eat on the patio over the harbor or carry it to the beach. Lobster roll, swordfish sandwich, Angus burgers with Galley fries, crab cakes and fried chicken, plus a beet and kale burger, a white bean sandwich and an eggplant sandwich for vegetarians, and gluten-free buns on request. Ice cream runs until 9 PM: vanilla, chocolate, twist, dips, sundaes and frappes. Quint's shack scene in Jaws (1975) was shot here.
